Description
Ring joint flanges consist of two elements. As can be seen from the drawing:
– the first is a disk-shaped part. In the center there is a hole for the passage of a moving fluid flow. Equally spaced holes for flange fasteners are located around it.
– The second part is a ring.
The nominal diameter of the flange must always match the nominal diameter of the joint ring.
GOST 33259-15. This standard applies to flanges for valves, fittings and pipelines for pressure to PN 250 MPa.
GOST 12822-80 Steel loose ring joint flange consists of a flange and a ring. In this case, obviously, the flange and the ring must be of the same nominal diameter and pressure. Rings are produced with sealing surfaces of versions 1, 2, 3 and connecting dimensions according to GOST 12815-80. In technically justified cases, it is allowed to produce rings with sealing surfaces of versions 4, 5, 8 and 9.
This pipeline part is often used in the installation of pipeline fittings and equipment. In addition, ring joint flanges are used in hard-to-reach places, in particular, when frequent repairs of the pipeline and its various connections are required.
